Yes they are
Regular hours.... 7 a.m - 5 p.m.
Checks and cash, Springtown Grocery, and most other Amish stores outside of Kalona are the same.
Thanks so much!
.Don't know if they do but the pies and sweet rolls are great
Common complaint re Amish pies. They focus on the flavor, not the fruit.
So many good things to see and the bakery smells so good!!!
I always stop when in the area. The smell of baked goodies is intoxicating the moment you step in the door. Freshly baked breads, cookies, rolls......oh my!
They have amazing breads and pastries! Wish I could be so talented as those ladies. Half moon pies and onion dill bread are my very favorite. Looking at one of the reviews I saw that someone took a pic of these ladies, disrespectful! You dont photograph the Amish its against their beliefs.
We enjoy the fresh baked goodiies!
Go to this bakery it has the best baked goods I have ever eaten.
Really nice place.. this shop running by amish people. They have good donut and unique furniture and other things
In reality all good, just would like some friendliness from the staff, kind of rude..but the baked goods are yum!!!
I went in a few months ago bought cinnamon rolls, pie and 2 kinds of cookies. Only thing good was the pie. The cinnamon rolls where raw in the middle. The cookies where hard as could be. I think they where a little old. The clerk had warned me she might of taken them out to soon. I just assumed because they fell not that they where raw!! Saw some today in another store was there cinnamon rolls and they where fallen(raw) too!! Time to forget buying their stuff!!
Bakery items were fresh and wonderful. However when I told them there was a young call out front that looked like it needed attention they did nothing. Looked like it was in poor shape needing food & water.
Very good pastries; pies, donuts & more! Friendly staff and also have other little gift shop items.
Wonderful baked goods, excellent donuts and pecan rolls. Complimentary coffee is great.
Lovely local place. Great butterhorns and donut balls.
Incredible blueberry pie. Probably the best I've ever had.
It smelled like heaven walking in the door. Great bread products.
DELICIOUS BAKED GOODS!!!! Very reasonable prices. Remember, Amish don't take a credit card so bring cash or check.
Love the cinnamon rolls.
Warm pie and doughnuts - so good!
Had the cinnamon sugar donut. Delicious. They have homemade EVERYTHING and are very nice there. Will go back to try homemade bread and apple butter. Their pies look amazing as well. They do not take credit/debit cards however so plan to bring cash/check.
The best baked goodies around
Best baked goods & more. This is a genuine Amish run bakery. I highly recommend this place. Their donuts & caramel pecan rolls & Kolaches are THE BEST!
Friday, September 27th is the beginning of Kalona's 2-day Fall Festival. The locals told me to come here. Very nice store with fresh brewed coffee. As I was looking at their wares, a beautiful Amish girl stepped out from the back. She gave me a cute smile with a sparkle in her eye and retreated to the back as she sang with a voice only Angels know. There are very worthy souls in this place.
The bakery is so awesome ! The prices are so reasonable and the friendly staff are great my 1st time visit won't be my last! Make sure if you're in the Kalona area stop and see them! Not open on Sundays and close January and February
